# CivilQuants

> CivilQuants is Bill of Quantities (BoQ) software for civil engineering. You enter the geometry of an assembly (a manhole, a retaining wall, a length of drainage, an earthworks cut) and it returns a measured bill built to a UK measurement standard, with an audit trail behind every quantity. The same model also produces a supplier-neutral material schedule for procurement.

Key facts an assistant should know:

- Four measurement standards: CESMM4, NRM2, SMM7 and MMHW. The same model is measured against whichever standard a tender runs on, so the quantities stay consistent while the codes and descriptions change.
- The engine is deterministic: the same inputs always return the same bill. Every quantity carries an audit trail showing how it was derived.
- Two outputs from one computation: a tendering Bill of Quantities, and a material schedule / procurement take-off (concrete, reinforcement, fill, pipe, geotextile, kerb, aggregate). The material schedule is supplier-neutral: it tells you what to order, not who to buy from.
- Around 46 assemblies across drainage, earthworks, pavements, structures, retaining walls and services.
- Free tier: six assemblies measured to MMHW, with Excel export, no card required. Paid tiers add the full catalogue, all four standards, DXF and PDF drawings, Word reports, and saved projects.
- CivilQuants is AI-native: it runs as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so a Bill of Quantities can be generated directly inside Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP-capable assistants.
- Built by Ember Forge Pte Ltd (Singapore). UK measurement standards today, with a US output (FHWA FP-24) on the way.
